estimates tailored to your specific needs. The cost depends on
factors like distance, size of your home, number of movers, and any

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially
during peak moving season (summer months). However, we understand
sometimes moves are unexpected โ give us a call and we'll do our
best to accommodate your schedule.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes! We offer full packing and unpacking services. Our professional
team will carefully pack your belongings using quality materials,
ensuring everything arrives safely. Just let us know what level of
service you need.
Are you licensed and insured?
Absolutely! Steel City Moving Company is fully licensed and insured.
We are USDOT licensed for interstate moves and carry comprehensive
insurance to protect your belongings throughout the entire moving
process.
Do you provide storage?
Yes, we offer secure short-term and long-term storage options. If
your new home isn't quite ready or you need to declutter during a
move, we've got you covered with safe, climate-controlled storage
facilities.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit cards, and bank transfers. Payment
is due upon completion of services. We believe in transparency โ no
hidden fees or surprise charges.
Can I tip the movers?
Tips are never expected but are always appreciated! If you feel your
movers went above and beyond, a tip of $20-50 per mover is
customary. Our team works hard to make your move smooth!
Do you move pianos or heavy items?
Yes! We have experience moving pianos, safes, pool tables, and other
heavy items. Just let us know in advance so we can bring the right
equipment. Additional fees may apply for specialty items.
What if I need to cancel?
We understand plans change. Just give us at least 48 hours notice
and there are no cancellation fees. We appreciate advance notice so
we can accommodate other customers.
